There are two technologies used in the DAR Solo construction:
Metal construction –
Wings are built by conventional sheet metal working practice. Wing construction uses two spars,12 ribs and metal skin. All parts are cut and bent on CNC equipment. Wing assembly is designed to be simple and straightforward.
Composites –
The rest of the airframe is a composite construction. Parts are made from carbon and glass fiber in temperature controlled vacuum molds. The molding process minimizes the weight of Epoxy resin required in construction, and results in lightweight but very strong parts. Sandwich construction techniques are also used to minimize weight and maximize strength. All airframe composite parts in the kit are completely finished, ready for final assembly.

Thanks you for your interest in AIRDROME AEROPLANES 3/4 scale flying replica kits. Our aircraft cover a wide range of historical aviation. From the most recognized aircraft to have ever flown in W.W. I (the scarlet red FOKKER TRIPLANE flown by the Red Baron, Manfred Von Richthofen's most famous mount) to the most technologically advanced aircraft to come from he great war effort, the FOKKER D-VIII Parasol (AKA The Flying Razor). Also offered is the FOKKER D-VI, the precursor of the FOKKER D-VII and the first aircraft to ever mount a synchronized machine gun firing through the prop, the F0KKER E-III (Einedekker). The Einedekker can be built as a FULLY LEGAL Ultralight.
Every one of the Aircraft designed by MXP are characterized by luxurious and fully sized proportions as well as by their extraordinary flying stability. MXP Aeroplanes have also important value of range and endurance: flying means of course to cruise far away.
Sinus and Virus and Taurus Motorgliders - up to 40:1 glide ratio and winner of the 2001-2002 FAI World Microlight Championships. Recently one flew completely around the world solo.
