Features unique to the Legend Cub include both right and left clamshell doors providing a more open cockpit feel and allowing float models to dock on either side. Two 12-gallon wing tanks provide increased range, in addition to an improved center-of-gravity that permits solo operation from either seat. An electrical system enables safe, reliable engine starting and gives pilots the option of a well-equipped panel including glass displays, radios and the latest in electronics. A three inch wider cabin improves comfort and enhances safety.

The closed cowl Legend Cub has a PA-11 style pressure cowl with the classic O-200 engine. The Continental Motors O-200 engine delivers 100 horsepower and resonates the authentic sound of period Cubs. Standard equipment includes: classic wood prop, traditional yellow paint with black lightning bolt, vinyl seats with cloth inserts, basic panel (altimeter, airspeed, inclinometer, tachometer, oil pressure, oil temperature, voltmeter), 406 MHz ELT, 6.00 x 6 tires.
Open Cowl, J-3 Style
The open cowl Legend Cub has a classic J3 Cub look with exposed cylinders and "eyebrow" baffles.
