The DAR-23 is a side by side two seater airplane made by Aeroplanes DAR. Powering this little aeroplane is a Rotax 503 UL, 2-stroke 50 HP engine. What is unique about the DAR-23 is that it is an all metal construction.
The cabin is semi open, with a windshield partly covering the pilot and the passenger; with the wings on top, this should be sufficient as rain protection.
The fuel tank is mounted behind the seats and holds 22 liters fuel. The wings are rectangular with ailerons and flaps. The tail consists of a regular elevator and rudder (connected to the steerable nose wheel). The elevator has an electrical trim for comfortable flying.
