Zenith Aircraft CH701 is an all metal STOL (short take-off and landing) aircraft. It features a high-lift wing with fixed full length slots, flaperons, inverted elevator and a flying rudder. The CH 701 was first introduced in 1986.
Large wheels combined with the STOL performance makes it possible to land and take-off from very short fields; however, the thick high-lift wing is not made for high speed, thus the speed performance is low. The CH 701 can be built and flown under the american LSA or the european microlight / ultralight rules.
With the CH701 Zenith aircraft has developed a winning concept for a STOL airplane
